Green Logistics Carbon Optimiser

Move freight across air, road, rail and sea. Balance cost and service against Scope 3 emissions under a carbon price and an emissions cap - the cheapest plan and the greenest plan are rarely the same.

About this game

Green Logistics Carbon Optimiser - modal emissions

The concept

Move freight across air, road, rail and sea, balancing cost and service against Scope 3 carbon emissions under a carbon price and an emissions cap.

How it works

Each mode has a very different emission factor (air is roughly 60 times sea per tonne-km). A carbon price turns emissions into cost; consolidation and green fuel cut both.

Winning strategy

Lean on rail and sea plus load consolidation, and spend speed (air/road) only where the service target truly demands it.
