IoT Cold-Chain Control Room

Keep a fleet of reefer shipments in-band through heat events and door-opens. Trade energy against spoilage, and let sensor sampling catch excursions before product is lost. Set the controls, then press Run to play 20 rounds, or Step to go one round at a time.

About this game

IoT Cold-Chain Control Room - time-out-of-band

The concept

Refrigerated shipments must stay within a temperature band. IoT sensors watch for excursions from heat events and door-opens; excursions spoil product.

How it works

Cooling capacity fights ambient load. When temperature leaves the band, spoilage accrues with the time spent out of band; higher sampling detects excursions sooner.

Winning strategy

Control time-out-of-band (mean kinetic temperature), not just the peak; balance spoilage against the energy of extra cooling.

excursion = max(0, peak − (setpoint + band)) ; spoilage ∝ excursion × (1 − detection)
